Why Learn Sanskrit?

  • Sanskrit is part of the Indo-European language family, one of the world’s earliest and most influential language groups.
  • It is one of the three earliest ancient documented languages, alongside Vedic Sanskrit, Mycenaean Greek, and Ancient Greek.
  • Sanskrit is the sacred language of Hinduism, the foundation of classical Hindu philosophy, and an important language for Buddhist and Jain texts.
